MEET SOME OF THE CHARACTERS FROM PALINDROME’S SAGA:

AUSTIN BENNET

In the aftermath of a car crash, Austin not only lost his mother but the ability to walk. Growing up in a world that fears people with supernatural abilities, he didn’t know what to think when a blast of strange energy healed his paralysis and gave him powers like a plenarie. Hunted by a relegator named Reuel and the United Alliance, Austin is saved by Maisie Orchid, a girl with the ability to teleport or “pocket-jump” in the blink of an eye. 

ALTON MALACHITE

An inventor, a blacksmith, a scientist, and a gifted dressmaker, Alton Malachite is a jack of all trades—and parts. Resurrected as an elemental shade, his spirit inhabits what remains of his armor for a body. Over the years, Alton has rebuilt himself on multiple occasions, with hardly any original pieces of his armor remaining. Alton’s true strength is his mind, with over a century’s worth of wisdom and knowledge gathered from all the lives he has lived. The adoptive parent of Aviana Blu, Alton taught her everything he knows, from the mastery of sword combat to the vital elements of indoor gardening.  

BRAYLIN GREY

Living up to his surname, a mix of light and darkness, Braylin is a powerful plenarie who balances his super-strength with a cunning intuition. Among his peers, he is the self-entitled negotiator, often putting himself between carefree Maisie and the more uptight Aviana. Growing up, Braylin was a test subject for the United Alliance until he escaped. Multiple surgeries on his brain left him permanently scarred and his memory was never the same. Braylin is a humble hero who prioritizes his friends and their protection. 

KATE SUMMERS

For as long as she can remember, Kate Summers was raised never to trust the plenaries. An obedient daughter and a model student, she grew up in a household that respected the United Alliance and their relegator enforcers. But when her parents are arrested and she finds herself imprisoned as well, she realizes that the U.A. are not as great as they seem. She might not have gained superpowers like Austin, but Kate is still an intimidating force to be reckoned with. One glare from her jaded eyes is enough to send even the most steadfast relegator running. (Austin can vouch for that.) 

MAISIE ORCHID

For now, the world only knows her as a lone rebel called “The Orchid,” but one day Maisie will be remembered as an ally to Austin Bennet in his fight against the United Alliance. Headstrong and often overzealous, Maisie Orchid’s high disregard for the rules frequently gets her into trouble. As a plenarie in her second incarnation, Maisie has more years of experience than the average sixteen-year-old. Her quick-wit is rivaled only by her swift teleporting skills, also known as pocket-jumping.

AVIANA BLU

Descended from a family of warriors, Aviana Blu is the only plenarie at the Sacrarium who prefers a sword over powers. She is an exceptional swordswoman, raised by Alton Malachite and taught the skills to become a fighter worthy of her family’s legacy. Beauty is often deceptive, and this plenarie is no damsel in distress. No relegator stands a chance in a match when Aviana wields her sword, an ancient but powerful heirloom of her family. If she isn’t too busy keeping Maisie out of trouble, Aviana spends her free time cooking, reading Charles Dickens, and working in her own garden
